Now before I get corrected, I understand that it is really more of a “nuzzle”… perhaps they are just “beard buddies”, regardless of how you want to interpret it, I see an attempt to put a gay kiss on the cover. If you haven’t spotted it yet, look to the center/right of the cover and you will see two bearded men engaged in (whatever you want to call it), directly below the American flag.

Whether or not this is the first gay kiss on a comic cover, I’m not really sure. I wouldn’t be shocked to learn that the Midnighter could have had one (the first gay superhero from Wildstorm). It also wouldn’t surprise me in the least if something from Prism comics also featured a gay lip lock prior to this. But I can’t recall a time when any of the big three have featured such a showing of “bro-love” on a cover before.
