First Look at Zenescope’s Milestone, Grimm Fairy Tales #50
For those of you that have been following Grimm Fairy Tales these last couple of years, this is the issue where things finally come to a head. After this book, nothing is the same in the real world or Myst. Unlike most milestone issues in comics, this book is not just an excuse to get alot of all-star talent together for a jam session book, instead, Zenescope did it’s planning well, turning the big number 50 into one hell of a payoff for fans.
Sadly, if you haven’t been following the book so far, #50 is not a very good jumping on point. In fact, to really appreciate this series you should go back and at least read the first trade. “Grimm” is a series that has been popularized because of it’s beautifully done art of scantily clad women, but it must be said, they’ve snuck one hell of a good story in these books as well. One that is well worth going back to get caught up on.
Once again the artwork is amazing and the writing is spot on, it’s a rare thing to say now adays in comics, but for once all of the build up is going to be worth it in Grimm Fairy Tales #50 in stores September 8th.
