With the newest Spider-Man movie being a reboot of the series, it was a pretty safe bet that there were going to be some flashback’s in the new film. However, if the report over on What’s Playing is to be believed, “flashback” may not even be the half of it. According to the report, producers on the project are looking for a 6-9 year old Andrew Garfield look-alike for the movie.

Now I may not be the end all authority when it comes to Spider-trivia but to my knowledge Parker’s parents role in the comics (even the ultimate series) was pretty trivial at best.

Having a quick flashback with the Parker family isn’t anything to really get to worked up over, but it is a head scratcher. And with the track record set in place by the last Spider-Man movie, reboot or not, I just hope Marc Webb knows what he is doing.
